This notice explains how Abyem Launderette & Dry Cleaning Services handles personal information through our website and our Abyem Reviews Automation application. Abyem is responsible for deciding how this information is used. For privacy enquiries, contact ITSERVICES@abyemlaundrette.co.uk.

Information we handle

Our website does not have a contact form. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure website use. We do not enable advertising features in our website tracking. Following a link to a third-party service takes you to that provider's service and privacy arrangements.

Website analytics and cookie choices

Google Analytics is loaded only after you accept analytics. It helps us understand website visits, referral sources, approximate location, browser and device categories, engagement, and clicks on telephone, WhatsApp, email and directions links. A click records an action on the website; it does not tell us whether you completed a call, sent a message or purchased a service. Our custom contact events do not include message content, email addresses, telephone numbers or review text.

We rely on your consent for this analytics processing and its cookies. You can reject analytics without losing access to the website, and change or withdraw your choice through . Withdrawal stops future collection on this browser; it does not automatically erase information already collected.

We store your accept or reject choice in your browser's local storage for 180 days to remember your preference. If you accept, Google may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_EXHXT3ES72 to distinguish browsers and sessions. Our tag sets a cookie lifetime of 180 days without refreshing it on each visit. Clearing browser storage removes your saved choice. Google's servers receive technical request information; GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses.

Google processes analytics information under its applicable service and data protection terms. See Google's privacy policy. Analytics event and user data retention depends on our GA4 property settings; contact us for the current setting. Aggregate reports may be retained for longer.

Why we use this information

We use review information to display a selection of recent five-star reviews on our website, acknowledge customer feedback and generate and publish business replies. We use enquiry information to answer questions and arrange services. Technical information supports reliable operation, troubleshooting and security.

For review management and display, general enquiries and security, we rely on our legitimate interests in communicating with customers, promoting our services through public feedback and maintaining our systems, while considering individuals' rights. Where information is needed to arrange or fulfil a service you request, we rely on taking steps to enter into, or perform, a contract. We may also retain information where required by law.

Google access and AI-generated replies

Only an authorised business account grants Google access to the automation. Website visitors do not need to sign in to Google or grant account permissions to view our review section.

We use Google's Gemini API to generate replies to reviews. Review text and relevant review details may be sent to Google Gemini for this purpose, and replies may be published automatically on our Google Business Profile. These replies are AI-generated and may contain errors; please contact us if a reply needs correcting. This process does not make decisions about eligibility for services, pricing or other matters with legal or similarly significant effects.

Our use of Gemini is for generating business replies, rather than training our own AI model. Google's handling of submitted information is governed by the applicable Gemini API terms and Google Privacy Policy.

Who receives information

Selected public review names, ratings, dates and comments are visible to website visitors. Business replies are public on Google. Google provides our Analytics, Business Profile, Apps Script and Gemini services; MochaHost hosts our website. Email and messaging providers process communications when you contact us. Information may also be disclosed where necessary to comply with law or resolve a dispute.

Service providers may process information outside the UK. The location and transfer arrangements depend on the provider and service. You can contact us for information about the arrangements applicable to your data.

Storage, retention and access

Review information may be held in temporary caches and operational records to display reviews, manage replies and troubleshoot errors. We retain information for as long as needed for these purposes, taking account of whether it is still displayed, needed to avoid duplicate replies, relevant to an ongoing enquiry or dispute, or subject to a legal retention requirement. Public reviews and replies remain on Google according to Google's arrangements and the relevant account controls.

Access to the connected business account and automation is restricted to authorised users. Granting the automation access does not make account credentials public. The business account owner can withdraw the application's Google access through their Google Account permissions; doing so stops future authorised access but does not automatically remove already published reviews or replies.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive eligible information in a portable form. Contact ITSERVICES@abyemlaundrette.co.uk to make a request. We may need to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions.

You may ask us to remove a review from our website or correct our business reply. Changes to your original Google review should be made through your Google account or Google's support process.
